Henny Penny 29383 Probe Assembly with Leads Fastron Computer Fryers
Henny Penny 29383 Probe Assembly with Leads Fastron Computer Fryers
Henny Penny 29383 Temperature Sensor Probe Assembly with Leads — Fastron Computer Fryers
Genuine OEM replacement NTC thermistor temperature sensor probe assembly complete with leads, for Henny Penny commercial pressure fryers fitted with Fastron computer control systems. The probe continuously monitors oil temperature inside the frying vat and feeds live data to the Fastron computer, enabling precise temperature control throughout the cooking cycle.
This is a genuine Henny Penny part (HP29383), also cross-referenced as G50HP-NTC/SS316F105. It is one of the most commonly replaced parts on Fastron-controlled Henny Penny fryers and is classified as Truck Stock (Level A) — meaning it is a high-demand, fast-moving part that authorised service engineers keep on the van at all times.
This probe is designed exclusively for Henny Penny fryers fitted with a Fastron-based computer control system. It is NOT compatible with Computron C1000, C2000, C8000, SMS-20 or standard electromechanical control systems. Check your fryer control computer type before ordering. If unsure, contact us with your fryer model and serial number and we will confirm compatibility.
Is This Probe Causing Your Error Code?
The following Henny Penny Fastron error codes are commonly caused by a faulty, damaged or disconnected temperature probe:
| Error Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| E-6 | Temperature probe error — probe may be faulty, damaged or disconnected |
| E-6A | Temperature probe open circuit — probe wire broken or disconnected |
| E-6B | Temperature probe short circuit — probe shorted to earth or damaged |
| E-5 | Oil overheating — check heating circuit and temperature probe |

Symptoms of a Failed Temperature Probe
- Fastron computer displays error code E-6, E-6A or E-6B
- Fryer oil temperature is inaccurate — too hot or failing to reach set point
- Temperature reading on the Fastron display is erratic, jumping or frozen
- Fryer shuts down on temperature fault during cooking cycle
- Open circuit reading on probe resistance test (multimeter reads OL)
- Visible burning, corrosion or physical damage to probe body or leads
- Inconsistent cooking results — food undercooked or overcooked
Always isolate and switch off the fryer completely before replacing the probe. Allow oil to cool fully. Photograph the probe routing and connector before removal to ensure correct reinstallation. After fitting, power on the fryer and verify the temperature reading on the Fastron computer display matches a calibrated reference thermometer before returning to service. Installation should be carried out by a qualified catering engineer.
