Gas Parts — Frequently Asked Questions
View All FAQsHow do I find the right part for my gas equipment?
The quickest way is to search by the manufacturer part number (MPN), usually printed on the old part or listed in your appliance manual. You can also browse by category above, or search by brand and part type. Not sure? Call us on 073 8051 5838 and our team will help you identify the correct part.
Where do I find my part number (MPN)?
Look on the old part itself first — most have the number printed or stamped on a label or the body. You can also find it in your appliance manual or on the data plate fixed to the appliance. Every part we sell shows its MPN on the product page, so you can match it exactly before ordering.
Can you source a part that isn't listed?
In most cases, yes. If you cannot find the part you need, call 073 8051 5838 or use our contact form with your appliance make, model and part number — we will track it down for you.
Do you offer next day delivery?
Yes. Order before 10am and in-stock parts are delivered the next working day across the UK. Standard delivery is free on orders over £25.
What if I order the wrong part?
No problem — see our Returns & Refunds page for how to send a part back. If you are unsure before ordering, contact us first and we will check compatibility for you.
Are your gas parts genuine?
Yes — we supply genuine replacement parts sourced for the exact make and model they are designed for, not generic copies. That means correct fit, correct ratings and no surprises when your engineer comes to fit them.
Which brands do you stock parts for?
We stock parts for the leading commercial catering brands, including Pitco, Henny Penny, Blue Seal, Falcon, Robertshaw, SIT and Lincat. If your brand is not listed, contact us — we can usually source it.
What's the difference between a thermocouple and a thermopile?
Both sit in the pilot flame, but they do different jobs. A thermocouple generates a small millivolt signal that holds the pilot safety circuit open — if the flame goes out, the gas shuts off. A thermopile is a stack of thermocouples producing a stronger output, used to power the main gas valve. Check your appliance manual or the old part to see which one your equipment uses.
How do I know if my thermocouple has failed?
The classic sign: the pilot lights while you hold the control knob in, but goes out as soon as you release it. That usually means the thermocouple is no longer holding the safety valve open and needs replacing. If the pilot will not light at all, have your engineer check the pilot assembly and gas supply first.
Do I need a Gas Safe engineer to fit gas parts?
For commercial gas appliances, replacement parts should always be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer. This keeps your kitchen safe and compliant, and protects your equipment warranty.
