Product Overview

This gas thermostat control provides precise hydraulic temperature regulation for commercial gas fryers operating between 220F and 400F (104C to 204C). It interrupts gas flow to the burner when the set temperature is reached, maintaining safe and consistent frying conditions throughout service. This variant is fitted with a 1/4 inch NPT stuffing gland, distinguishing it from the 3/8 inch gland version. It is a direct Robertshaw millivolt-type replacement compatible with a range of popular commercial fryer brands.

Signs You Need To Replace This Part

  • Fryer oil temperature will not stabilise at the dialled setting during service
  • Burner ignites but cuts out before oil reaches working temperature
  • Oil temperature exceeds the set point and high-limit safety cuts in repeatedly
  • Thermostat dial is stiff, seized, or the capillary shows signs of leaking or damage

Installation Notes

Drain and cool the fryer fully before fitting. Thread the bulb through the 1/4 inch NPT stuffing gland and route the capillary without sharp bends. Position the bulb so it does not contact the heat exchanger, then fully tighten the gland. Check for oil leaks before returning to service. Gas Safe registered engineer installation is recommended for all commercial gas appliance work in the UK.
