Signs You Need To Replace This Part
- Fryer oil temperature drifts above or below the dialled position during service
- Burner cuts out early, leaving oil below working temperature
- Thermostat dial has no effect or feels loose and unresponsive
- Capillary shows kinking, corrosion, or oil leaking around the tank gland
Installation Notes
Drain and cool the fryer fully before starting. Note the wire connections before removing the old thermostat. Thread the 1/4 inch NPT stuffing gland, route the 36 inch capillary without kinking and allow a small service loop near the body. Position the 3/8 inch bulb so it does not contact the heat exchanger, then tighten the gland fully. Test for oil leaks before lighting the burner. This is a millivolt control — no mains supply is needed for the thermostat circuit itself. Always use a Gas Safe registered engineer for commercial gas appliance repairs in the UK.
