The 16116 is the structural metal hook that locks the centre crossbar onto the frypot body under pressure. The 16102 is the red ball knob that threads directly onto the latch body and serves as the operator's grip for engaging and releasing the latch. In every real-world latch replacement, both parts should be renewed together — the knob endures the same operational stress as the latch body and should never be reused on a new latch assembly.
