Installation Guidance
When replacing this thermocouple, always ensure the gas supply is isolated before starting work. Check the new thermocouple length matches or exceeds the routing distance from the pilot burner to the gas valve. The magnet connection nut should be hand-tightened then turned a quarter turn with a spanner — do not overtighten. After installation, test the pilot flame hold for a minimum of 30 seconds before returning the appliance to service. If in doubt, consult a Gas Safe registered engineer.
