This heavy-duty waterproof rocker switch is a 3-position ON-OFF-ON control switch using a DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) 6-pin configuration. Where a standard DPST switch simply isolates a single circuit, a DPDT 6-pin switch controls two independent circuits simultaneously and can route power in two directions — making it the correct switch type for motor-driven equipment, dual-zone heating, direction-reversing conveyor systems, and any application requiring two active states with a neutral OFF position in between.

In commercial catering environments, this switch type is found in rotating spit and rotisserie controls, reversing conveyor toasters, dual-zone contact grills, motor-driven dough mixers, heated trolley direction controls and equipment requiring independent activation of two heating circuits or two motor windings.
