Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my Henny Penny 500, 561 or 600 pressure fryer?
Yes. Part 17113 is the valve body used across the Henny Penny 500, 561 and 600 series, including the CFA, PFE and PFG variants, plus Computron 7000 and 8000, MP-944 and Fastron builds. Because model lists span several production runs, check the part number on your existing valve or the serial tag on your machine first. Send us a photo of the fitted valve and we will confirm the match before you order.
What are the cross reference part numbers for 17113?
The body is catalogued as 17113 and appears in some listings as HEN17113 or HP17113. It is the body fitted to the 29515 24V and 18724 240V steam solenoid valve assemblies. If your service records reference either assembly number, 17113 is the correct body for it.
Does the 17113 body fit both the 24V and 240V solenoid valves?
Yes. The same brass body is used on the 29515 24V and the 18724 240V assemblies. Voltage is set by the coil, not by the body, so you do not need a different body for a low voltage or mains voltage fryer.
What is included with this part?
You receive one brass steam solenoid valve body only. The coil, core disc assembly 17111, core spring 17110, bonnet 17108, retaining cap 17109, nylon guide 17115 and disc spring 17116 are all separate parts and are not supplied with the body.
Do I need a new body or just a rebuild kit?
If the valve still leaks steam or will not hold pressure after fitting new internals, the sealing seat inside the body is normally worn, scaled or pitted and the body is the part to replace. If the fault built up gradually and the seat is still clean and smooth, new internals are usually enough. Also confirm the coil is energising and the exhaust line is clear before condemning the body.
Why LaunchCatering
LaunchCatering Ltd is a UK based supplier of commercial catering equipment spare parts, held in UK stock. We list the full valve breakdown so you can confirm exactly which component you need before you order, and we cross check part numbers against manufacturer parts data rather than guessing at fitment. If you are unsure whether you need the body, the internals or the complete valve, send us your model and serial number and we will confirm it.
In summary, Henny Penny part 17113 is the brass steam solenoid valve body used on Henny Penny commercial pressure fryers. It forms the sealing seat of the steam solenoid valve and is fitted inside the 29515 24V and 18724 240V valve assemblies. It suits the 500, 561 and 600 series, the CFA-500 and CFA-600, the PFE and PFG ranges, and Computron 7000, Computron 8000, MP-944 and Fastron builds. The body is supplied on its own, so the coil, bonnet, retaining cap, core spring and core disc assembly are ordered separately. Replace the body when the seat is pitted, scaled or scored, when ports are corroded, or when the valve will not seal after new internals have been fitted.
