About This Part
This is a replacement solenoid coil for Henny Penny commercial pressure fryers. The coil is the electrical component inside the solenoid valve that generates the magnetic field to open and close the valve. If your solenoid valve coil has burned out or failed, fitting a new coil is a cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire valve assembly. This coil fits directly into the existing valve body — no need to replace the complete solenoid valve (Part No. 18724) unless the valve body itself is damaged or the Teflon seals are worn.
How to Check if Your Coil Has Failed
Using a multimeter, measure resistance across the coil wires. A healthy 208/240V 50Hz coil should read approximately 245 Ohms. A reading of zero (short circuit) or infinite (open circuit) indicates a failed coil that needs replacing.

Installation Notes
Always disconnect power before replacing. Remove the Tru-Arc retaining clip from the top of the coil housing, then remove the nameplate and cover. Disconnect the two coil wires at the wire nuts inside the coil housing. Remove the old coil and insert the new one. Coil wires can be reconnected in either order. Reassemble in reverse order.
