The Robertshaw 6CH14-1 Three-Flame Pilot Burner Assembly (factory code 66905 / R-66905) is the most commonly specified 3-flame industrial gas pilot in the UK trade catering market. Supplied as a complete Uni-Kit with both a Natural Gas orifice fitted and a separate LPG orifice included, this is a true drop-in replacement for the full 6CH14 family — no air shutter adjustment, no linting, and no fuss.
Whether you are servicing a Falcon Dominator range, a Vulcan Hart fryer, an Imperial or Cecilware unit, or replacing a pilot on Viscount or Ascaso equipment, the 6CH14-1 covers the widest range of commercial gas catering appliances of any pilot in its class. The included 2C/2CH adaptor provides universal compatibility with Robertshaw 1900-series thermocouples and thermopiles, making it the complete solution for most commercial kitchen pilot replacement jobs.

Key features
The 6CH14-1 uses an aerated target-style burner head that produces three stable flames for consistent cross-lighting across all burner positions. Because the design is non-linting and requires no air shutter adjustment, installation is straightforward and ongoing maintenance is minimal — an important factor in busy commercial kitchens where engineer call-out time is expensive.
Dual-fuel flexibility is built in: the pilot ships with the Natural Gas orifice already fitted and a separate LPG orifice in the kit, so the same part covers both gas types — just swap the orifice jet when converting between supplies. The included 2C/2CH adaptor means the pilot connects directly to the full Robertshaw 1900-series thermocouple and thermopile range without any additional fittings.
- 3-flame burner for reliable cross-lighting and consistent pilot ignition
- Natural Gas orifice fitted as standard — LPG orifice included in the kit
- Universal thermocouple and thermopile compatibility via 2C/2CH adaptor
- Non-linting aerated target design — no air shutter adjustment required
- ¼″ CCT pilot tubing connection, Index 22 specification
- UK stock — same-day dispatch for orders placed before 4pm
- Trade-friendly GBP pricing — no FX or import surprises

Installation information
Gas Safe registered engineer required
This pilot burner must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer (UK) or qualified gas service technician. In line with current UK gas safety regulations, this work must not be carried out by an unqualified person.
Before beginning work, always isolate the gas supply at the appliance isolator and allow the unit to cool fully. When converting between Natural Gas and LPG, remove the fitted orifice and replace with the LPG orifice supplied in the kit before refitting the pilot assembly.
After installation, leak-test all gas joints using an approved leak detection fluid or electronic detector before commissioning. Once the pilot is lit, verify the flame pattern covers the thermocouple or thermopile tip fully and that the main burner cross-lights cleanly on first call for heat.
Frequently ordered with this part
Engineers replacing the 6CH14-1 / 66905 most commonly also order a matching Robertshaw 1900-series thermocouple or thermopile at the same time — both parts wear at similar rates and replacing them together avoids a return visit. A pilot tube cleaner and a short length of ¼″ aluminium pilot tubing are also recommended to ensure a clean, leak-free installation.
